We have been using Wave for a few months after leaving Xero and we find that the user experience is far superior and less complicated. It is designed for busy business owners and has the power to keep your accounts easily in order. You can sync you bank account and reconcile income and expenses, and even accept card payments.
Starling Bank business account – Mobile app based account with no fees.
Starling Bank business accounts are designed to be fast and free. You can manage your bank account via the mobile app available from the Apple App Store and Google Play. Gone are they days of waiting 15 minutes to speak to a call centre. You can make payments, review your statements, lock cards and order new ones, all within the Starling Bank App. They have 24/7 support also in case you need help. Did i mention it was free?
Yoast SEO – optimize your WordPress website to rank higher in search engines at no cost.
SEO (search engine optimisation) is an ever changing dark art. Without it, your website will struggle to appear in the search result pages in Google, Bing and the others. What Yoast does is gives you a way to manage your on page SEO within WordPress. Simply install the plugin and activate. Once this has been done, you can visit a page and directly edit the title tag and meta description for each page. Then Yoast will score your pages and give you tips on how to get a higher score. It’s a little bit like a game but the rewards are real!

ZOHO – Support Ticket system.
Zoho is a one stop shop for business solutions. It covers everything, from emails to invoicing and accounting. One of the ways companies like Zoho get more users, is to offer an awesome product for free. That is what they’ve done, let me introduce Zoho Desk, the free to small businesses, ticket system solution. If you run a tech business or need a way for customers to request support, this system is as good as the paid for solutions. Customers can send you an email which will turn into a support ticket. It’s pretty cool and is worth a look.
Mail Chimp – free email marketing tools
If you’ve not heard of Mail Chimp, you’re in for a treat. Mail chimp is a drag and drop email designer with a heap of tools to help manage and grown your email lists.
